We found out what can happen if you let a two year old be in charge of the lesson for Family Home Evening. We had three lessons, titled as follows: You Can't Catch Me, Pillow Fight, and Monster. They mostly involved running around and screaming. I'm still not sure what the objective was. I'll be sure to write about it when I find out.
Last weekend we went to a place with neat rocks and brought back a picture of a train. (We stopped here on the way). It was so cold, windy, rainy, snowy with thunder and lightning mixed in, I didn't think about taking pictures. I was trying to keep everyone warm and dry. When I did look for the camera I couldn't find it. It was at the bottom of all our stuff. It was a neat trip despite the winter weather.

Pictures From a Long Time Ago
This is how our pumpkin carving went last Halloween. One kid read a book, one kid gave directions, one kid bounced around, one kid slept, Mom took pictures and Dad..... well he did all the work.
Some people say all our kids look very much alike, I agree when looking at these two pictures. Can you tell who's who?
Cute. What else is there to say?
A two year old's demeanor can change with a drop of a hat.
In December my brother married the sweetest girl.
Still cute.
A priceless picture of my wonderful grandparents.
More cuteness
Christmas 2011
Every one wants to have a picnic on January 2, right? It was so nice that day, how could we not have a picnic.
Now I will see what awaits after spending the time to post these long overdue pictures. I can already see the mess creeping through the door.

Conversation I Never Thought I Would Have When I Became a Mother
"I found a green ball in the rocks!"
"Yes, you did!"
"Where did my green ball go?....Oh, in my nose."
We then had a nice conversation about why you don't put things up your nose and Aunt M's story about putting a crayon up her nose in kindergarten and why it is not a good idea.
Thank goodness for tweezers.
I'll never look at those little air soft gun balls the same.
Boys are very different than boy girls.

Perspective
There have been SO many people say our kids look just like each other. Then other times someone will say they look like themselves and a little like the others. Or that they have their own look. It all depends on your perspective. I think they all look just perfect. That's my perspective. You can decide for yourself.

I once read a story about a mom who let her kids have chocolate chip cookies for Sunday dinner. Twice. After much whaling during church, she told her kids they could have the cookies if they were quiet. Dad however did not think this was the best idea. He decided to take it upon himself to cook Sunday dinner, which included lamb pilaf and lamb with couscous and apricots. It took him hours to make it and in the end the kids looked at it and him in dismay and hardly ate anything. The next Sunday he made chocolate waffles. I suppose the point of the story is it's okay to relax a little and let them eat cake. Or in my case M&M's on their heart- shaped pancakes. Which is what we had for dinner on Valentine's Day.

Pancakes
This morning we had pancakes. Not all that eventful. But to a two year old it can be. Dad made a pancake in the shape of the first letter of the kids' names. The two year old took a bite and promptly wanted the piece put back. It was too special to eat. He would only eat the round ones.
